for winter enthusiasts! Our newly built cozy Log Cabin,
nestled in the heart of the pristine Yukon winter wilderness, invites
you to spent your winter holidays just a few steps away from the
frozen
Yukon River.
Location:
Our
log cabin is located in absolute remoteness
without direct neighbourhood approx. 4 km/2.5 miles outside of
Carmacks and
approx. 200 km/125 miles north of Whitehorse. Carmacks is a small
community of 400 inhabitants, providing a grocery store, gas station,
restaurant and post office.
  We have prepared
numerous trails for you leading directly
into the surrounding moun-tainous wilder-ness. Whether you prefer
snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing or just hiking on packed trails or the
frozen
Yukon River, you will find
perfect
 conditions. Whatever you
choose to do, you hardly will encounter any human being. You like to go
for ice fishing? You will have lots of options on nearby lakes.
Within a day trip you can reach
Dawson City, the
legendary capital of 1898 Gold Rush or you may try the Dempster Highway
under winter conditions, a unique experience of the frozen northern
tundra. Keno City, an abandoned Ghost Town founded during the
Silver
Rush of 1911, is an other option worth to be explored. Not to forget the
opportunity to admire the magic beauty of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) to be watched at
starlit nights. And don't worry about lack of
daylight during your stay. We can assure you having at least six hours of
daylight even at mid December.

Our in
2005
newly build log cabin offers 55sq m/590 sq ft accommodating up to 4 persons, sleeping
2 in spacious loft and 2 in the living room. The cozy
furnished living room has a DVD player and numerous CD's as
well as a big selection of books and a wood stove. The integrated
kitchen is
fully equipped and the bathroom has shower and running warm water.
